The challenge

GeoAlert had strong technology but an engineering org that moved slowly and stayed too close to the tech. Work was driven by technical interest more than business outcomes, so delivery was slow and not always pointed at what the company needed most.

What I did

I worked as an advisor to the CTO and CEO, focused on how engineering worked rather than on any single platform. We introduced agile practices and a clearer development process, and shifted the team's mindset toward business outcomes: solving real problems and shipping, instead of engineering for its own sake. Much of the value was being a sounding board for the founders on technology and process decisions.
